Day 3: The reality has set in.

My BRAIN hurts!

I have to admit something.  The with-drawls have set in.
Sugar gone.
Coffee gone.
Red meat gone.

I had the headache to end all headaches yesterday.  And it's a dull ache today.  I know by tomorrow it will be gone but in the mean time it hurts.

I woke up in the middle of the night with a cramp in my calf.  I've not had one of those in years. So this mornings breakfast is steamed veggies (including purple potatoes) with eggs.

Last night Steve made a wonderful stir fry.  We're so used to grabbing a jar of some sort of sauce that we're having to rely on old fashioned spices.  He used cayenne pepper and boy did it clear the sinus's.

I'm so used to having something sweet after having a spicy meal that it was tough last night not grabbing some chocolate.  (The chocolate is all gone.  Along with all the other candy, sweets, fruit, etc.)

Plus having the sugar with-drawl headache didn't help.  I had a hand full of almonds and that helped a bit.

Yesterday's Lunch

Having a big salad for lunch is nothing new for me.  Yesterday's included spinach, broccoli, yellow bell peppers, cilantro, olive oil, himalayan sea salt, fresh lemon juice, tuna and spices.

I usually graze on it for about an hour or so while working at the store.

According to the book:
Mid-Morning: Have a vegetable drink (fresh veggies juiced) with CHLORELLA or SUPERGREEN or a cup of miso soup with sea greens and a cup of echinacea or chamomile tea.

Lunch: Have a fresh green salad with lemon/coconut, olive or flax oil dressing and seafood, chicken or turkey; or a vegetable or miso soup with sea greens; or steamed veggies with brown rice.

As much as I'd love to have some miso soup I can't because of the soy.

Tonight I start one of my New Year's goals:  Fire spinning!

Well actually I'm taking my first class.  I don't see myself moving to fire for a few months.  I think this will help with my coordination and confidence.  Plus it's a great cardio work out.
